For a number of years I have been painting a series depicting the beautiful country backlanes and yards of a small country town called Mullumbimby.

The foliage is a mixture of natives and exotics, the laneways gravelled and potholed, the fences often sagging or overgrown by greenery and flowers.

I started this series in watercolour, but I am now re-exploring the subjects in oils.
